I think I'm going to second turnea this year. His posts are always cogent, articulate, and well-founded. He is also one of the best researchers we have these days (where did I used to find the time?) and seldom makes any assertions without substantial source material as foundation. I can think of no better recommendation for a good overall debater. thumbsup.gif The fact that he's right most of the time doesn't hurt, either. tongue.gif

Wow. That's a toughie.

I always tend to go with a Top Five, or Top Ten, or something like that.

... which leaves off several people I really respect and whose posts I enjoy reading and find provaocative and informative.

But since I'm "required" to provide the name of the poster I think is The Best, I'll go with ...

Wertz

Wertz was nearly without peer. The only debater on this site that could score any reasonable points against him was NT, occassionaly DTOM, when in a contrary position, and I think I saw Cube Jockey and Vermillion keep up with his amazing levels of research and facts.

I would say a suggestion is in order here- Wertz, lifetime acievement in overall best debater, retiring his number if you will. He was arguably (on a debate site rolleyes.gif ) the very, very best of what AD has to offer. thumbsup.gif

Otherwise- for the rest of us mere mortals- I nominate Turnea as well. He really stepped it up this year. thumbsup.gif
