QUOTE
Darwin theorized that we are all a product of natural selection.Through thousands of years the weak and the stupid were consumed or otherwise deposed and were unable to pass along the weak and/or stupidgenes they carried. Such a wonderful system!
It occurs to methat, though well meaning, we have taken Darwin out of the equation.Child proof caps, asthma medication, seatbelts, airbags and speedlimits have reduced the role of natural selection to an afterthoguht.
Arewe doing mankind a huge disservice? Are we risking de-evolution? Ismodern medicine and it's cures and innoculations for damn neareverything contributing to what will eventually become our demise?
Other than those who electrocute themselves with a toasterwhilst trying to pry out the stuck bread with a metal knife,  wehave eliminated most chances for the stupid and the weak to perish andend their genetic line.
As time marches on, and given theseemingly superfertile nature of stupid women, we are surely marchingto a time when the earth is comprised of mainly idiots and the ill.
Ironically it would be through the advances of very intelligent people that the stupid have flourished.
For this reason I propose the ultimate solution.

The Darwinian Tiger
In the center of each town there shall be a very large andespecially ferocious tiger. This tiger shall be securely attached to asturdy chain of approximately 15 feet. The outer edge of the tigerseffective range shall be noticably marked. Signs will indicate thepresence of the tiger.
Those entering the range of the tiger shall be eaten. Simple.
Yet, I would wager that the tiger will never go hungry. In spiteof the obvious danger, some will venture into the tigers lair. Thosepeople deserve to be eaten and we shall think of them no longer.
Hopefully The Darwinian Tiger becomes a reality in my hometown.Although I'm sure the tiger would become fat and need to beexcercised.

Aside from the tongue-in-cheek, the author raises a valid point.

We could be dooming ourselves by stopping evolution in its tracks.

Points for debate..

1) Are we at risk of de-evolving by healing the incredibly ill so they can procreate?

2) How about by protecting the incredibly stupid from themselves?
