State Department lies about Pakistan, Russia, Morocco & Saudi Arabia?

As I have been recently informed here; our worst practices against detainees doesn’t rise to even the level of a College Prank. If that were the case, then the Countries mentioned above must not be engaged in Torture; contradicting the State Department’s claims.

Secret Memo—Send to Be Tortured
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8769416/site/newsweek/
An FBI agent warned superiors in a memo three years ago that U.S. officials who discussed plans to ship terror suspects to foreign nations that practice torture could be prosecuted for conspiring to violate U.S. law, according to a copy of the memo obtained by NEWSWEEK. The strongly worded memo, written by an FBI supervisor then assigned to Guantanamo, is the latest in a series of documents that have recently surfaced reflecting unease among some government lawyers and FBI agents over tactics being used in the war on terror. This memo appears to be the first that directly questions the legal premises of the Bush administration policy of "extraordinary rendition"—a secret program under which terror suspects are transferred to foreign countries that have been widely criticized for practicing torture. . .

. . . a plan to send the detainee to Jordan, Egypt or an unspecified third country for interrogation. "In as much as the intent of this category is to utilize, outside the U.S., interrogation techniques which would violate [U.S. law] if committed in the U.S., it is a per se violation of the U.S. Torture Statute," the agent wrote. "Discussing any plan which includes this category could be seen as a conspiracy to violate [the Torture Statute]" and "would inculpate" everyone involved. . .

. . . 65 detainees have been transferred from Guantanamo for further detention or prosecution by foreign governments, including 29 to Pakistan, seven to Russia, five to Morocco and four to Saudi Arabia—countries the State Department criticizes for practicing torture.

Notice the “?” in the Topic. If what we did to detainees at assorted detention centers cannot be considered Torture; then isn’t the State Department lying about these other Countries?

Add this one also: If a Mob Boss orders you to take someone in your trunk over to another Mob Boss so he can shoot the person, can he be charged?

And the reason I put this in the “Principles” Area was to see what people principles were regarding Torture. This is one topic where you can quickly gage how evil someone is; on where they come down on this issue.

No. Just because America does not practice or inflict torture does not mean other countries do the same. So far it seems all we have is an FBI agent's warning that the countries practice torture. That is not concrete evidence that they are in fact doing just that.

If they are in other detention centers in countries that practice torture does it mean they are being tortured? Of course not. Does living in America mean you are a Christian? It is important to keep in mind just because prisoners have been moved to countries like Russia and Morocco does not mean it was because torture is inflicted. If they are still American-held prisoners then the same rules apply to their treatment as before the transfer.

Let me guess; you’re one of those, who still after the ‘Torture Memos’, the Abu Ghraib pictures and Bush vowing to Veto the $442 Billion Military Budget if there are restrictions on Torture in it: who is still trying to claim we don’t torture people?

Then why all the noise about releasing the Video’s from Abu Ghraib? I look forward to you vociferously advocating for their release; that way we can put this issue to rest then.

And if I’m chewing my food, it doesn’t mean I’m going to swallow it either?

One only has to look at the indictments the Italians have issued against certain CIA employees who kidnapped someone and sent him the Egypt. Are you claiming they sent him on a vacation to see the pyramids?

Note: I was told in PM that my “Question” here was not ‘clear enough’; does every post have to be a question?
