So here we are once again. Groundhog Day.

This is the day were we rouse a sleeping rodent from a light-deprived cage, make sure that the first thing it sees and hears is a large crowd of people, and then predict our forthcoming weather based on its reaction.

Hey, I guess. How did this ever happen?

Anyway, the groundhog saw his shadow, so six more weeks of winter.

On a 70 degree winter day, I say: bring it on!!!

We had a wonderful day here in the mid-sixties and our children got to frolic outside in tee shirts. I got to go play soccer. A good day. More of this on Sundays please. Conversely my in-laws live in the Upper Peninula of Michigan where I will only visit in the middle of the summer.

I bet your in-laws appreciate the fact that you don't visit them in the winter Eeyore. I'd rather my relatives from the warmer states come in the summer.

Here's what happens when they visit in the winter.
They stand around holding hot cups of coffee or cocoa. I keep pushing up the thermostat, trying to make them comfortable. I tell them, This is Wisconsin, it's cold here in the winter. Didn't you know that? blink.gif
After they leave, guess what? I receive a huge bill from the gas & elec co.

I'm in Georgia right now, and today was a Pip of a Day! Watched the Grands play soccer.

Ah hem.....have to say, they were outstanding excl.gif

Oh I can't wait for spring.

Spring is right around the corner, Mom of 3

I wrote this last year in early March.

Yesterday I spied a robin from my window
I watched him darting to and fro
Today I found a crocus, (Oh the thrill)
Blooming where the snow lingers still

Now my heart is glad and filled with cheer
For soon daffodils and tulips will appear
And now I know that each new day will bring
It's very own....sweet sign of spring

So hang in there MO3.....it's almost March happy.gif

w00t.gif w00t.gif That groundhog jinxed me! The weather in Colorado has been beautiful for over a week, and then yesterday it snowed! crying.gif I woke up to the grating sound of snow plows, and my socks are still wet. I know we desperately need the moisture, but I'm still craving sunshine. <pouts>

What a stupid tradition...When I was growing up my mother would tell us the outcome as if I was supposed to buy it...It's stupid and I would like to think that we could stop this national coverage of some ugly little critter.

Of course it's all nonsense. Just a little winter diversion. smile.gif
