I have noticed quite a few new news programs on the cable news channels..just thought it would be fun to critique them..which is just a fancy way off saying make fun of them.
Also there is so much host/anchor swapping going on half the time I have no idea what channel I am on or if I did successfully use the remote.

Rita Cosby
Ok who is this Rita Cosby woman and when did she become the big world exclusive interviewess? And how many packs do you think she smokes a day? Honestly I have no idea who she is and all of a sudden she is one of the main attractions on MSNBC.

Coast to Coast.
Hey Mike..Reagan doesn't wear his jean jacket as much anymore. And the blond..is it me or is she supposed to be a tribute to Ann Coulter ?

The Situation Room.
Message to Mike again...this is the new news show that reports on blogs that I was complaining about in the chat room. I like blogs I have a few I read..but are they newsworthy?
Also I read this funny observation about this new news show..that Wolf is always chatting with his back to the camera..that perhaps they are setting the stage to replace him with a back-faced animatron.

The Situation with Tucker Carlson.
The Situation, The Situation Room...what's the sitch with all the situations on new news? Perhaps the new news isn't news anymore..it's situations.
I think that little public showdown Tucker had with Jon Stewart really effected his outlook on life and made him question the old news ways. He is so obviously trying to play down his public label as a expletive You think that is why CNN fired him..because he is a expletive?

Nancy Grace.
She is so stoic...and hard headed. No seriously that hair looks impenetrable. How much stuff can this woman be indignant about? I think eventually she is going to wear herself out.

I know there is more..like doesn't that grouchy guy on CNN have his own show now?

What new news have you been watching?

Rita Cosby
I believe Rita Cosby was on Fox. She had great ratings on Fox and MSNBC was able to lure her over.

The Situation with Tucker Carlson.
This show reminds me of PTI on ESPN. I doubt it will last, but I like the format. At least it does not dwell on one single issue throughout the show. Tucker gets a bad rap and it’s mostly from people who never watched crossfire but saw the Jon Stewart interview.

The Daily Show

The writing is still top notch on the segment pieces, but I think I’m growing tired of Jon Stewart. I have watched the show since Kilborn (yay 5 questions) was the host and I still prefer the former host. The ratings are great though so why change (Fox uses the same mantra)?

I usually watch MSBNC for political news although I hardly watch CNN, MSNBC, or Fox because of all the sensationalistic news coverage.

Seems more like a copy from that other MSNBC show..Countdown.

Tucker..in my mind.. gets a bad rap from his own self..especially this new show of his. He has this odd repulsion to breastfeeding that he seems to find the need to share with us all . I was surprised..because his show is quite new..when looking the transcripts up so I could share his comments he made about breastfeeding that the show I happened to view was not the first time he said these things. So now I have to suppose it is not only a repulsion but a kind of obsession.

On July 15th
KELLERMAN: OK. Puritanical values by and large built this country and by and large, they‘re good things. But they‘re not all good.

One of the things that‘s not so good is this whole kind of sexually repressed situation we have going on here. What‘s happening here is reality is imposing itself on cultural mores that are not correct. The primary function of a breast is to feed, Tucker.

CARLSON: That‘s where you‘re wrong, Max!

KELLERMAN: It‘s not a sexual object. It‘s to feed. Now, you claim that child welfare is the most important thing. Tucker, the baby‘s hungry.

and then here again on August 10th they have the same debate..

KELLERMAN: You don't like public nursing, just admit it. You don't like public nursing.

CARLSON: Actually, I don't mind public nursing. You know, I've seen—

I've got four kids. I've certainly seen a lot of it. I just don't think that anybody has an absolute right to do it. A lot of things are great. Nursing is great.

What's Tucker's situation with public nursing?

Sounds to me like he would rather not see it in public. I tend to agree. I work with a breastfeeding mom who brings her baby to work, and I'm really looking forward to a day when I never have to approach her desk feeling intrusive just for being there because she's got a sprog attached. LOL

P.S. I'm not opposed to breastfeeding itself; I'd just rather women do it in a ladies' room or their car or someplace else private rather than right out in front of the whole world.

P.P.S. No, I don't have kids of my own and yes, I realize that means I don't know jack about anything and will probably be told so, very soon. LOL

Yep. He probably has repressed desires that stem back to his childhood.

I am familiar with Rita Cosby from Fox News. I don't mind her "style"
of reporting, though she comes across a little bit vacant and detached.

Nancy Grace sometimes fills in for the old guy, what's his name? hmmm.gif
Larry King. I actually don't mind her. She's pretty opinionated, which
seems to be the growing trend in journalism. Neutrality doesn't really
exist in today's news world.

What I find rather comical is the hair-do (or as I like to call it, "Don't"! ohmy.gif )
that many middle-aged male newscasters have. The part is practically at
the ear, and it's all combed over to one side. sour.gif

I've seen that! Can you imagine what it looks like in the morning ... down to the waist until they comb it over. LOL

Ok thx for everyone informing who Rita is. I just can't stand her voice. I just thought TV anchors were supposed to have pleasant speaking voices..and she does not.

She now has her own show on Headline News.
