Hi all! My membership here is about 24 hours old now, so I figure I should introduce myself. My name is Scott, and I am a police officer in one of America's largest urban cities. Law enforcement has always been my dream, and became my passion about 4 years ago. I am also a full time student, set to graduate in December with a BA in Psychology. My school "career" is far from over, as I have aspirations of law school. I may possibly make a stop in graduate school and pick up a Masters in Political Science while I'm at it.

I tend to read too much. I've caught my wife trying to sell my completed books on Amazon without my knowledge. Shame on her! My main areas of interest are The Constitution, the US Supreme Court, and US history, specifically the Civil War and the abundance of issues surrounding its inception, just to name a few.

For all practical purposes, I'll call myself a conservative. I don't agree with a lot of their practices, however. Unfortunately, I have fallen into the trap of "the lesser of two evils". I'm also a firm believer in the doctrine of state's rights, backing the ability of a state to govern itself free from outside influence, and the right of a state to contest what the people of the state feel is unjust behavior on the part of the federal government.

I suppose that's all for now. I look forward to "seeing" you all on the boards!
