We had a debate a while back on "Papa pilgrim vs the Forest service" and religious groups and right wingers were rallying around them. Well, he has been arrested for molesting his daughters for years. I said on the original debate that all was not well in Denmark- his niegbhors in that area were as conservative and anti-goverment as they come, yet they did not support this families bid for a road through the park.

I love a good search, so naturally, I saw finding this original debate a challenge. Try as I might, I couldn't find any such thread. I did find you made reference to this group of people in this post.

So while the blanket generalizations about the "religious groups and right wingers" were amusing to some, and the update is likely appreciated by all, this was something I don't think we ever debated here.

I actually found that post first- and it wasn't the thread I was refering to- the title was more vague about the situation- like goverment oversteps its grounds or something like that- I tried about 10 different ways to search for it- forest service was my initial search.

The reason I remember it so well because I actually read about it here before I saw my local paper with the story LOL - After seeing a link from here, I checked ADN that day- stuck with me because I was thinking to myself "I am on the internet too much when I get breaking news on a BBS site"
