Today marks the opening session of the Alito confirmation hearings. Alito has a lot of experience previously working in
the justice department. There are some also interesting things regarding his
record as a judge. While he backs the federal government to a large degree in terms of civil liberties and lawsuits from inmates, he backs off the government power idea when it comes to government regulation and economics.
Questions for debate:
1.)Will Alito make a good judge for the supreme court?2.)what positions do you feel he holds that are most unconstitutional? which ones constiutional?
