In an opinion piece examining the confirmation of Samuel Alito, Michael Graham raises a remarkably interesting question:

Rather than subjecting the right to abortion to the vagaries of bad Constitutional reasoning, risky confirmation processes, and potential neanderthal Konservative Kristian misogynists, why not simply "put paid" to the issue by passing a Constitutional Amendment specifically defining the right to abortion?
