the simple suggestion I have for this [otherwise superb] debating site is that party affiliations that are not represented in the American political culture should be incorporated.
Thereby I would be happy to see choices like: Social Democrats, Democratic Socialists, Christian Democrats aka European Democrats (and to be complete the infamous National Democrats). By an American perspective, this may only be subcategories of one party or another, but in Europe these are truly very different sides of the political spectre that cannot be substituted by currently available choices..

Yes, I know, this is called America's Debate, so why should you care?
Well, since it is open for "foreigners", I would gladly put my flag out there, in the right category, and it might also help to understand the European political culture just a bit better.
To avoid misunderstanding and confusion, there should be a little symbol to show it is a European category, for our "Republicans" are a very very different kind of people than the US reps as well as the European Democrats have much more in common with the American Republicans than American Democrats.

I would very much like that, and since there are categories like "Natural Law Party" and alike, therefore I don't think this is an unreasonable request.
Please post any difficulties that would create or considerations that you have on your mind.

I'll just add my two cents that I might fit better with the (British) Liberal Democrats than with any party here in the USA, based on various tests I've taken comparing my opinions with political parties around the world.

I can see where this might open up a can of worms, since there are so many political parties around the world.
