You've gotta love the Colorado Republicans. I don't think any other political party could have done so well at doing doodly squat for the people who hired them. From mismanaging water in a drought to proposing clear cutting our forest to control wildfire AND get more runoff water (read: flash floods, landslides), to holding back 50% of federal unemployment funds, these folks are worse than clowns because they are hurting real people.

Now, in the face of perhaps the worst state economy in the Union, what do they come up with?

Oh, man, you have *got* to read this!

In God We Trust--for the troops and some interesting history too

We can't help the homeless, we can't feed the hungry, we can't provide healthcare, but we can write, "In God we trust", 150,000 times! Even people of the strongest religious faith could see, I would think, that these hard economic times are not exactly conducive to such an expensive project. I'm so glad to hear the GOP is hard at work for the people of Colorado. wacko.gif

Along with posting the ten commandments everywhere, that's right up there on the list of stupid ideas. I have also thought for a long time that "E Pluribus Unum" was a much better motto...

Who is supposed to feel better with this posted in classrooms and public buildings? Certainly not the troops.
Soldiers would be much happier with newspapers/magazines sent to them, or some candy and such.
Or even 'Dear Serviceman/woman letters.

This is an attempt to make the homefront feel good, and at what cost?
Gray Seal
What a total waste of money and time for Colorado. This law has nothing to do with the responsibilities of any state's government.

It violates the seperation of religion and government.

It is so far fetched in its purpose though it does have a purpose of providing some amusement due to its incredubility.

It's amazing, isn't it. But then we had Betty Beady and a slew of other very strange politicos, plus an upcoming young Repub leader who got nabbed trying to seduce a 13-year-old girl. It has got to be the altitude! Just look at our newly immigrated drivers! I could go on, but you get the drift.

So what can we homefolks do to help our troops leaving in mass exodus? Anybody know of some good web links?

Or wait, let's start a new thread on just that . DTOM, do you want the honors?
