Well, there has been threads posted here for each radio show (and chat), so I decided to beet Mike or Jamie to the punch!

So remember to listen and call in at 1-888-DEBATE-5, 1-912-342-2345 (direct dial), or callto://americasdebate (Skype)!

I bet Mike, Jamie and the rest of us would love to hear what you have on your mind.

So, What do you think Mike or Jamie is going to say on how Celery Soda is going to taste like?

Who is going to call in? Whith the most (non)controversialtopic?

What is the topic going to be for that show?

Who is going to have the best (or worst) consperisy thieroy?

Who is going to drop by in the chat room?

Is the show going to get any calls from outside of the U.S. or North America?

And please leave comment here on how the show went after it is finished!

EDIT: Fixed phone number. -AMLord

Hehe.

Tonight's show should be a lot of fun. Jaime seems to be feeling much better, and that is good. She was miserable last week.

I've got a couple things I've done to make the broadcast better this week. We have to improve every week, right?

I built a count-up clock in VB so we can keep track of how long we keep callers on the line. We've been aiming for no more than ten minutes per call, but it is hard to remember to keep track of the time. So, my clock counts from zero on up. Once it hits nine minutes, it turns yellow, and at ten minutes, it turns red. So, barring any technical problems that make us keep callers on the line for longer than ten minutes, things should progress at a better pace this week than in the past.

The other improvement is this contraption I built that I'm calling a "mouse house," although I'm sure there would be some trademark problems if it went further than my little device. Basically, it's a 4 sided box with the sides angled to reflect high frequencies (mouse clicks) back into the box. The inside is covered in a nice, thick carpeting to absorb some of the highs as well. My testing without carpet reduced the noise picked up by about 25%, so with the carpet, it should dampen my mouse clicks 50% or more.

Little improvements, I know, but they all add up. smile.gif

When AD Radio was first proposed, I sent Mike a PM saying that I was not likely to ever call in.

Paladin Elspeth keeps telling me that I really need to learn that it is OK to talk on a telephone. Every time that Jaime typed the phone number in the chat room, she told me to try calling,

The phone on my desk is one that I purchased because it had a Caller ID function, and it was cheaper than purchasing a stand alone Caller ID unit. It also has such strange features as a calendar, and a calculator. The calendar still reads January 2, 2004, and the clock reads 7:20 PM. I was able to follow the manual instructions to set it, but I have never been able to get the clock to start counting forward.

The caller ID provides incoming numbers, but no names. By the time that I do a reverse lookup to see who is calling, the answer is usually moot.

The frequency with which I answer the phone is probably underscored by the fact that I only learned last night when I tried to use it to call AD Radio, that the mike in the mouthpiece apparently doesn't work...

My apologies to Mike and Jaime for the time they spent saying "Hello caller. Is anyone there?"

Thanks for having me on the show. However, I think that next time I call in, it's going to be on a different topic.

When are you guys going to offer us more opportunities to listen to you live? Wednesdays are always bad for me...busy busy busy.

How about a Monday or a Friday thrown in the mix?

Just had a chance to listen to the archive for this one. Sorry you didn't like Doctor Brown's Cel-Ray Tonic!

The informal debate between Paladin Elspeth and lordhelmet was very interesting, and made the show more lively.

Keep up the good work.
