Hehe.
Tonight's show should be a lot of fun. Jaime seems to be feeling much better, and that is good. She was miserable last week.
I've got a couple things I've done to make the broadcast better this week. We have to improve every week, right?
I built a count-up clock in VB so we can keep track of how long we keep callers on the line. We've been aiming for no more than ten minutes per call, but it is hard to remember to keep track of the time. So, my clock counts from zero on up. Once it hits nine minutes, it turns yellow, and at ten minutes, it turns red. So, barring any technical problems that make us keep callers on the line for longer than ten minutes, things should progress at a better pace this week than in the past.
The other improvement is this contraption I built that I'm calling a "mouse house," although I'm sure there would be some trademark problems if it went further than my little device. Basically, it's a 4 sided box with the sides angled to reflect high frequencies (mouse clicks) back into the box. The inside is covered in a nice, thick carpeting to absorb some of the highs as well. My testing without carpet reduced the noise picked up by about 25%, so with the carpet, it should dampen my mouse clicks 50% or more.
Little improvements, I know, but they all add up.
