How many are going to watch American Inventor that starts on ABC this Thursday?

there is a show in Australia in it's second season called "tthe new inventors",

Will it compete with American idle or is inventing just not a high profile desirable/entertaining idea? Which is more important to the success of the American way of life. Who should be our society kids examples, inventors or pro sports players. 1, Which should we want our children to look up to as role models? Do we want role models?

BTW the bios of the judges is very impressive.

I hope they get some kids on the show, some of those inventions are great. 2, Is it possible that this can influence children with a positive role model message?

3, Should we all go out of our way to support such programming by watching it if it does promote a positive message, and role models, in other words is this another way to voice or vote in our society?
