What does everyone think of American Idol
I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed here...

No apology necessary!
We haven't discussed it here.
I personally have only watched about 30 seconds of it.
It's not really my kind of show, as I am a news junkie.
But it seems better than "Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire" or "The Glutton Bowl" to me.

While there are few things better than seeing the hopes and dreams of an uneducated, think I’m the best singer, wannabe pop stars get crushed, I really just can’t stomach the show. Seems so fake, and unreal.
I like more true to life shows like the Simpsons.

I know it's not your type of show, Marc, but you really should get your facts straight before you post opinions.
When it comes to the American Idol contestants, more than not it turns out they are either college educated, or have been in college and are taking a "break" for the taping of the show. Most that have already been voted off are planning on returning to school and finishing thier educations.
