Is anyone else as dissappointed as me to see that Matt Drudge has opted to allow pop-up ads on his news service www.drudgereport.com?

One of the reasons I turn to Drudge was because his page provides a great directory to all the news without inconvenience. I consider pop-ups one of the largest annoyances on the internet. I despise them.

Does anyone know of any other good, relatively unbiased, news services that link to all the major media outlets? I'm ready to forget Drudge and his annoying pop-ups.

Drudge must be a multi-millionaire. He gets about 20 million views to his site per day. With a cent per popup, he must be raking it in. But, yeah, I hate those f-ing popups, as well.

Part of the joy of capitalism is choice. I'm not forced, like say - the Chinese, to read government run news. You think the much of the news is crappy now, imagine if the government tried to run it. Just look at the bang-up job they've done with the FAA, Social Security, Microsoft's "monopoly," "big" tobacco....

I use Pop-up Stopper, so I didn't even notice that Drudge started using pop-ups.

Does popup stopper block the popups from this site (the private messages)?

Yes it does. Usually I'll just glance at the top to check if I have any messages.
