Hi, All -

My name is Complicata, which happens to be the name of one of my favorite roses. I was gazing at a picture of one when the box for "user name" appeared. Funny thing about Complicata is that it's really not "complicata" at all. Complicata has a very simple and basic flower and is a gallica rose which are known for their intense hues - hence the nickname "Mad Gallica's". The name may be a good fit as it is quite possible that I'm both simple and basic and maybe a bit mad!

I found this site by accident and began reading the forums. They are refreshing as I usually frequent two other talk boards - one that leans left and one that leans right - which consist of much silliness and back biting. I enjoy the format and presentation here.

I'm a wife and a mom and have a job that I enjoy. I personally tend to swing to the right but I try to keep my eyes and my mind open.

I find it kind of ironic that such a simple single-flowered rose is called a Complicata! It must have been named by the Dept. of Ag. or some other federal agency.
