Funniest Political Joke
posted by Fife & Drum:
QUOTE
Rumsfeld is reporting to President Bush and the cabinet. "Three Brazilian soldiers were killed today in Iraq."
"Oh my gosh!" cries Bush and buries his head in his hands.
The cabinet is stunned. Usually the president never shows any reaction to these reports.
Then, Bush looks up and says, "How many is a brazilian?"

A nation is not free simply because it has elected representatives or even because its people value their liberty. Rather, a nation is free only when its people value the liberty of others.

Congratulations to all of the winners. thumbsup.gif

Of course, we all win by participating and learning from others. Having one's ideas challenged is one of the best ways to ascertain why you believe what you do and if your stance on an issue is really a defensible one.

Here's to four more years!! beer.gif

Four more years!!

Congrats to all the winners, though to be honest, everyone is a winner on ad.gif

Imagine my surprise to see my name on that list when I have been absent for so long. I am REALLY glad that Americans for Energy Independence got some positive notice! This is a solid group with a real vision, that takes into account some interesting ideas that we do not hear about everyday.

Ok, plug concluded. innocent.gif

Yippee!

I got two gongs!

Thanks everybody.

Of course, it's not a competition, and we should all be glad that the whole ad.gif community is to such a high standard. But that makes it even better when your peers nominate and vote for you. Congratulations to all winners!

thumbsup.gif I want to give a shout-out, big ups, props and much love to all the winners and nominees with a special thumbsup.gif to Wertz, who in his mastery of the Best Researcher and Best Debater categories is rapidly becoming the Tom Hanks of ad.gif

I'm comin' for ya in 2006-07, big guy!

Oh, and on a sidenote, I noticed Mike and Jaime seemed just a tad regretful that they didn't get more birthday shout-outs when AD turned four years old.

Hey, ya nimrods. Don't lock the thread before a brutha gets a chance to say:

drumroll.gif sorcerer.gif mrsparkle.gif HAPPY (Belated) BIRTHDAY, AMERICA'S DEBATE! mrsparkle.gif sorcerer.gif drumroll.gif

Thanks everybody, and especially you nighttimer. Not that you needed to, you showed up for the bday chat. That meant a lot. wub.gif

Mike made new awards graphics for the winners and I be posting them later this evening. I also have a big 'I love AD' post for the what I've learned thread, that I will get up tonight.

It's been a great year. I look forward to many more with all of you. flowers.gif
