I don't know who all saw the endorsement that Michael J. Fox gave yesterday on the news. It was apparent he has Parkinsince disease and was diagnosed a few years ago. He was moving on film like a person who was ill with the disease.
He is all for Stem Cell Research. Who can blame him? Heck I would if I has any disease that might have a cure for not just Parkinsince Disease but any illness stem cells could have an impact on.
Then Rush Limbaugh comes on the radio today and says he did not think Fox had any disease. He said well he is an actor. Implying he was just acting.
Is Limbaugh still on drugs himself?
That is why Fox has left acting. He can't do it anymore.
Do you think Limbaugh is for real when saying this?
I find it appalling. Shame on you Limbaugh! God forbid you get Parkinsence, Cancer, Diabetes of any illness. Maybe your just acting like you have it.

Except for a few spots on the TV lawyer comedy/drama, Boston Legal, I haven't seen Michael J. Fox acting in anything. In the series he plays a millionaire who is suffering from Hodgkin's Disease or leukemia (I don't remember which one) and who has a love interest who works for Crane, Poole & Schmidt. His appearances are very sporadic.

I've got to agree with you, Momof3, that Rush Limbaugh is pretty pathetic with his apparent disregard for Fox's real-life ailment, Parkinson's Disease. And you don't testify before Congress if you don't actually have the disease, as Michael J. Fox did.

But then, you get what you see and hear from Rush; he appears to be about as deep as a birdbath when it comes to understanding or compassion, opting only to fuel the fire for his dittoheads. He was certainly against illegal drug use and those caught up in it until he was found to be doctor shopping to support his own painkiller drug habit. As long as he gives no quarter to those who disagree with him politically, he should not expect to receive any quarter either.

Here’s a story from The Washington Post on the matter.

Do you think Limbaugh is for real when saying this?

For the moment Rush Limbaugh smoke.gif has surpassed Bill Frist in stupidity and Ann Coulter in sheer mean spiritedness.

Dr. Limbaugh, strike that, - a blowhard, pompous windbag, first year college dropout, not a doctor - has diagnosed Fox as faking the severeness of his illness from a video, just as Frist- a Cardiologist, not a neurologist - diagnosed Terri Schiavo in the same manner. At least, Frist is a doctor. rolleyes.gif
This is as mean or meaner than Coulter's suggesting that we rat poison Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens.

ESPN got it right in 2003. They fired his grotesque, loud-mouthed, right-wing derriere. thumbsup.gif Stations, including WBAP in Fort Worth, should drop him immediately. I’m going to call and suggest that tomorrow.

Bye, bye Rush, I hope. bye.gif

Edited to add:

Here's to link the Fox Video.

Here's an audio of Limbaugh's remarks:

Click on "Listen to Rush Conduct Broadcast Excellence." wacko.gif The Limbaugh audio is more than 9 minutes long. sleeping.gif

Make what you will of both links. whistling.gif

BTW: I support Rush's freedom of speech. He can say whatever he wants, whenever he wants in private or public. He can argue the point in the coffee shop or on the streets, but now the golden microphone is slimed with vile excrement like words. It’s time to yank it out of his hands. As I've said many times, "freedom of speech does not guarantee a microphone, a podium or air time.”

That is beyond contemptible. As Fox is Canadian, we tand to follow his life somewhat closely up here, and he frequently appears in Canadian media and for interviews. He has had this ailment for years now, he was only able to star in 'Spin City' because of heavy medication and multiple complicated brain surguries. He eventually had to leave the show when the medication ceased to function to the necessary level.

His disease is progressive and extremely well documented, and he has been campaigning for stem-cell research for YEARS. He has also donated a substantial part of his fortune to found the Michael J Fox foundation (http://www.michaeljfox.org/) six years ago.

As far as I am concerned, Limbaugh should be immediately fired for such comments. The man is not even a politician, he is a respected and loved actor, and has done more work and donation for the cause of Good than Limbaugh could ever dream of. Who the hell does this guy think he is?

Is Limbaugh still on drugs himself?

I am sure that the drugs are legal when prescribed and take away a deep pain between the ears brought on by a chronic liberal disease that the right-wing blowhard sometimes suffers: thinking.

Do you think Limbaugh is for real when saying this?

Real as sewage.

A lot of posters before me have already condemned Limbaugh:

I completely agree with every single thing that have been said about this man.
It is unbelievably stupid, heartless and pathetic what this man did. Fox should fire him immediately! mad.gif
