Which cable news network do you watch the most?
Why do you like it the most?

Not a hot topic here, but we watch Fox News Network faithfully. Sometimes I record the network news just to check on the different spin. It can be really interesting as you might guess. Somehow the liberal press really show itself on the big 3. In my opinion Peter Jennings shows his liberalism the most. Well, he is from canada

I like the news channels that make a big point to not dutifully parroting the garbage been shoveled out by the government. I like the rebels, the guys get around the official nonsense and get down to the real honest stuff. I like the guys who report the fact that reporters are excluded from certain things that they want to find out about. I like the guys who torment the establishment , who are called "liberals" but are really hard nosed reporters. Those of the real reporters. Those of the inky wretches of the fourth the state who, if they do their job, might just save the Republic.

I had to null vote on this one, because I like none of the above. Sound-bites are useless when it comes to learning about an issue, and I'm afraid that is all that cable news offers. They cater to people with '10 minute or less' attention spans, and never really examine a whole issue.
I especially despise all of the commentary and guest talk shows. The hosts are trained to pit the guests against each other in a "Springer" type format, for maximum sensational effect, and NEVER encourage a focused, intelligent debate, because most people just consider that boring, and would tune out.
Besides all of this, I have a general distrust of the corporate-controlled media, and almost constantly see the news intentionally and blatantly laced with their own brand of propaganda.
At the positive end of all this media doom and gloom which I've just laid before you... There's nothing at all wrong with watching some cable news. If you indeed care about getting the facts, though, you get your news from as many sources as possible, so that you're better able to decide for yourself what is true and what is hype.

I'm not sure if it qualifies, but I'm addicted to C-SPAN's Washington Journal. I'm entertained by all the loons that call in, and they generally have a balance of guests form all parts of the political spectrum.
FoxNews comes in 2nd, I know I've heard it all, (faux news, etc..) but compared to the other cable news shows, theres not much difference. Fox is what I started watching when I got in to politics a few years ago, and I'm comfortable with it, although I get more of my news from the internet.

I guess I'm like 1 of the 10 people in the US that doesn't have cable or satellite. So, I voted null.

I watch Fox so I know what the global managers want us to think. Otherwise, I look to CNN for headlines. Apart from cable, I go to PBS and ABC for commentary - and the foreign press online for actual news.

Fox News is the best. My reasons are three-fold.
1.) From Pig_Mak:

Laurie Dhue, Page Hopkins, but Greta? ewww....
2.) O'Reilly is awesome.
3.) Shepard Smith is cool when he says "The G Block."

I voted FNC because I have met Bill Oreilly, Sean Hannity, Chris Mathews, and Paula Zahn (plus other newscasters). Out of all of the ones I have personally met, the 2 from FNC were the most polite, most respectful, most respectable, and most sincere people I have ever met. The ones from the other networks were more stuck up then anyone else I have met. I trust people who have the positive qualities above. If they don't act mature in public then I don't want my news coming from them.
