After the natural disaster called Katrina hit New Orleans (and many other sections of the gulf coast), many democrats skewered President Bush and his administration because they couldn't wave a magic wand and instantly make the bad situation go away.

But, since then, billions upon billions of federal aid dollars (not to mention private donations) have poured into the rebuilding of that city.

And has it become the "shining city on the hill" as Reagan would have called it?

Why no.

It's become the murder capital of the USA.

The Big Easy Crime Wave

The questions for debate are:

1. Where is Nagin?

2. Where is Blanco?

3. Where is Kanye West?

4. Why hasn't the tremendous influx of taxpayer dollars to that city, a policy that the left has promised would FIX cities such as N.O. resulted in a crime-free paradise?

5. Isn't it possible that crime is the result of the PEOPLE who live there and the cultural values that they support and that local/state/federal politicians enable in order to get their votes?
