I've been stalking forums since I can remember but have never actually joined. While you folks were having spirited discussions on the topics that affect almost all of us daily, silly me was over at yahoo reading gems such as "wuz up ppl we all get gunz like the decleration of independince say".

Needless to say I'm happy to have found a debate site that actually, by definition, debates.

In order to have avoided the mockery that comes with the surname Flanders, I made public the fact that I am Flanders, but not Ned. Ironically, I got mocked, probably more so than if I hadn't mentioned it at all.

That said, nice to meet you as well. If I were allowed to post, and it weren't against posting regulations, my first topic would be "Which Simpson character are you?" in hopes that someone might take the leap and call him or herself Homer.

Heh... there was no mocking intended-- no ridicule, contempt, or derision. Just a friendly hello is all.

And by the way, you can post, but new members just can't start topics until they've participated for a bit. But when you can, feel free to start a topic about the Simpsons in Casual Conversation, where topics like those are certainly allowed.
