This thread needs to be bumped slightly, give since my last post the Ottawa Senators spanked the New Jersy devils in Round 2, and are now 3-games to zero up against the Buffalo Sabres in round three.

Senators are a shoe-in to play in the Stanly Cup final, and are odds on favourite to win the whole shebang at the moment: and you won't find a happier man about it than I.

Go sens!

Eh, so the Devils are done, and as a result of petty nationalism and bitterness I will be rooting for whoever comes out of the west to once again delay the Cup's return to the Great White North.

Senators win the semi-final series, 4 games to 1, and is IN THE STANLEY CUP FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was pretty upset that the Devils didn't win- of course- they are Alaska's favorite NHL team- Scotty Gomez lives about 5 blocks from me, grew up and went to school where my kids are going now.

Not only that- he is a cool dude.

I am betting he will be Mayor of Anchorage, and then Governer of Alaska- no foolin'. He actually is very savvy on Alaskan issues, has ambitions, and is a well spoken and honest guy.

Not only that, he gave up hundreds of thousands of dollars to play for a Russian and Euro league to play for our local Alaskan Aces during the strike- and played like the cup depended on him every game.

He is a sports hero that I can let my kids like

So, I am a die hard devils fan, and I don't even watch much hockey!
