Hello.

I am a fairly intelligent person, who has been jaded by internet chat forums.

I have been in many flame wars, and done my share of hurling invective.

I am interested in proving myself to be worthy of good, honest debate, and I have invited some other flamers to join me here for some real discussion.

I am very interested in surviving, and really tackling some meaningful and worthy subject.

Heya fbwc. Nice to meet you. Mike and I had our fill of flame wars too, which is why we started in the first place. I hope you find it comfy and settle in. It's not hard, just follow the Rules and Survival Guide and all will be cool.

On edit - I realize you said you invited 'flamers' here - you are aware we don't allow flaming right? I think so, but I just had to ask.

To clarify:

I and a few others have been flaming each other on the same old forum for a long time. We have "challenged" each other to have REAL debates here, with no flaming. Your forum has a reputation for being pretty no-nonsense. We are here to see who can handle sticking to topics, without all the *** NOTICE: THIS WORD IS AGAINST THE RULES. FAILURE TO REMOVE IT WILL RESULT IN A STRIKE. ***.

I can almost guarantee I won't be the first to go. I like to think I have a pretty cool head, and have only flamed for the fun of it.

I have a "friend" from that forum who came here years ago, and never came back. He's one of your longer-termed members.

Yes, I'm wondering that too! More clues required please? If you are talking about the board I think you're talking about, as long as you didn't post as "Kim" or "Weatherman" you should do fine.

Even if you did, provided you curtail your flaming urges, you'll do okay. And if you don't, you won't last very long here on . We have a very low tolerance for breaches of the Rules
