As Moore's new film "Sicko" nears its release date, I was wondering if anyone was going to resurrect the health care debate? I noticed you have an archived thread on that topic, but it might be interesting to air the laundry next to Moore's shorts.

Oh I bet it's coming, as soon as some of us sate our curiosity about the movie by seeing it.

I for one can't wait as it will be the first Michael Moore doc I'd catch in theaters and according to the critics it's some of his best work.

Yep, no use debating an unknown. I'm pretty sure this subject will also gain traction in 2008 after the conventions and we know who is running for real.

Watched part of Moore's thing on corporations -- it was far too long. Hope he does better with health care. The two subjects are tied together at this time though, so it'll be curious how he handles the presentation.

Don't think this is a hot-button issue like Iraq and foreign policy. Who can be against health care? That's like being against motherhood or the flag. It's a matter of whether we do it well or not. Do we want high quality, availability, or both? What about illegals and veterans? Should health care be connected to employment or not? How is fraud controlled, and how should it be controlled?

Lots of potential questions, little information.

Any debate on any subject Moore had done a “documentary” on degrades into identifying the lies – which are most of it.

I would think identifying lies is the greatest tribute to truth. Only the liars would object to it.
