Way back when the Valerie Plame leak was discovered- GW promised to "fire" whoever was at the bottom of those leaks- it is quite apparent now it was a few major players in his Admin- including the VP, Rove, Armitage and Scooter.

Question is:

GW promised to fire those that commited the leaks- why hasn't he fired anyone?

GW has obviously lied about this matter, promising one thing and doing another- why aren't Republicans holding him to his word?

Sorry to point out the obvious, but Scooter Libby is no longer employed by the US government. He remains a convicted felon, without voting rights and without the ability to practice law. He also has a scarred reputation that will probably leave him unable to be employed in any meaningful political advisory position (at least for some time).

Richard Armitage is also no longer employed by the US government. He is on the board of ConocoPhillips, however.

These are the only leakers known to date and the only two identified by Patrick Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald has said publicly that further indictments are not likely to happen. "We're all going back to our day jobs," was his quote.

Seriously- that is the best Repubs have as an excuse? Wow, how the mighty have fallen- all this "ethics in goverment" and such really was just talking points- even to the voters who demanded this after 8 years of Clinton.

Truly pathetic. whistling.gif

CLOSED. As posed, this seems more like an attempt at starting a flame war than a serious debate topic. If you can reword the questions, let us know and we may be able to reopen it
