In case you hadn't noticed, Mike and I have been on vacation for the last 12 days. It was wonderful being able to get away for a bit. Now we're ready to jump back into the debates but unfortunately, have no idea what's been going on.

So what's been in the news for the last two weeks? What topics should we discuss on this Wednesday's live edition of America’s Debate Radio?

Thanks for your help. It's good to be back. We missed you! smile.gif

Welcome home. We didn't have any wild parties while you were gone. beer.gif devil.gif

The collapse of the bridge in Minnesota has been debated.

Also, there's been some pretty heated racial debates going on.

And, we've been discussing the concept of "Big Brother" with the controversial subject of cameras in public places.

Those are just a few tidbits.

Welcome back, Jaime! Hope you two had a nice trip. flowers.gif

Well...Amlord jumped on the laptop yelling 'TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!" But we were able to restrain him before things got out of hand. shifty.gif

Thanks ladies!

Got any ideas for what we should discuss on tomorrow's show? Mike just told me there is another presidential candidates debate tonight, so we'll cover that. Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. smile.gif

Well, this may be too late-breaking, but I just heard on the news that there was another coal mine disaster. It occurred in Utah and it looks as though some of the victims may be illegal aliens. The details are still hazy, however. Here's what they know so far.

Another idea, along the same "illegal immigration" line, would be the situation with border patrol agents. One of the most recent cases involves an agent who is standing trial for the death of a Mexican trying to cross. There is a lot of controversy as to whether or not the death was a result of self-defense or not.

Well...yesterday there were shots fired on the DMZ between North Korea and South Korea! Pretty much an annual event, though. Probably protesting because the North Korea workers at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex only got a 5% raise this year. Or Kim Jong Il wants extra oil, or whatever.... sleeping.gif

I kind of like the tangential debate that is going on in Turnea's cultural racism thread. Is the south a different culture from the north? Yes/no/maybe. It might be an interesting discussion. smile.gif
