So Rove is moving on to spend more time with family, and go fishing i suppose. The supposed MasterMind behind Bush.....

resisting easy joke......... and the republican victory in the past 8 years--except for the last round.

Upon reflecting on the career of the hero of the right and the demon of the left, was Karl Rove the Genius or Overrated?

The republicans win against Gore? Karl Rovian genius or a country tired after 8 years of one administration and a Dem candidate with the personality and warmth of a potted plant?

Bush's reelection. Karl Rovian or a country stung by 9/11 and a Democrat party hamstrung by past perceived weakness in affairs of defense and even hostility towards our defenders?

The Democrats are in power as of today and the Republicans seem to STILL be slipping! Rove as Machiavelli plotting an uber surprise in 08 or even farther ahead? or just a country tired of a GOP well illustrated to be completely unwilling to walk their talk when so much money and power is in DC for the taking?
(To my Independent Unaffiliated eye the Bush legacy seems to come more from the Ted Kennedy/Liberal Big Government ideal than the supposed GOP small government one.

And if you think Karl is overrated what does it say about the Left and the Dems that they have cowered before rove for just short of 8 years now?
