When a newspaper outs you, the worst thing you can do, is to fight back or insinuate they're wrong. It turns out that the Idaho Statesman newspaper has now produced four men who say that they had relations or were hit on by Craig in a recent article. This guy should be done, he needs to resign and should be censured for his gross lack of integrity and honor. dry.gif I would love to hear the senator explain this. rolleyes.gif

I think an "I told you so" will be in order for many folks - when someone does something like this in bathroom of an airport stall, it is just time that is needed to find out the rest of the story.

Looks as if the accurate number of accusers. It isn't four, but rather, eight.

Craig's reaction to these accusations is also mindboggling.

But in a statement e-mailed to The Associated Press on Sunday, the senator said the newspaper's report was ``completely false'' and he accused the paper of careless journalism.

``It is unfortunate that the Idaho Statesman has chosen to continue to lower itself to the standards of what can best be described as tabloid journalism,'' Craig said in the statement.

``Despite the fact the Idaho Statesman has decided to pursue its own agenda and print these falsehoods without any facts to back them up, I won't let this paper's attempt to malign my name stop me from continuing my work to serve the people of Idaho.''

Wow. blink.gif It's quite telling that Craig isn't suing the Idaho Stateman for slander. It will be interesting to see who is right in this matter and if the wrong party ends up apologizing. hmmm.gif hmmm.gif

1. Should the Republican Party demand Sen. Craig's resignation or stand by him?

The Republican Party should demand that Senator Craig resign.

It's not even about gay vs. straight. It's about soliciting sex in a bathroom. He should count himself lucky that he didn't solicit the wrong guy and get the stall door kicked into his face while he was peeking through cracks.

2. Does the fact that Sen. Craig pleaded guilty to charges of lewd conduct weaken his claim of innocence?

Senator Craig changed his story.

The Police Report from the Undercover Officer remains the same. CLICK HERE to read it.

Why would the officer lie? He didn't even know Craig was a Senator until he was busted.

3. Is Sen. Craig a person worthy of sympathy or scorn?

He embarrassed the Republican Party. (Some of you Dems, of course, would argue that this exposes many of what constitutes our Party, and to your merit, you have a fine example in Larry Craig).

As far as his attempt to hurt President Clinton for a similar action, he richly deserves what he gets. While Democrats stood by Clinton, I would hope that Republicans do NOT stand by Craig.

On a somewhat ironic comical note, did you see that his daughter went public to defend him, and she ended up getting arrested for an outstanding warrant? CLICK HERE for THAT story! laugh.gif
