Just injecting a little bit of fun and humanity into the conversation. What do you say to somebody who tells you 2+2=3.

When its you I ask that you go read the statements of the inspectors etc. and you ignore it as usual.

QUOTE
There were no WMDs. The UN and American Inspectors demonstrated that. See if you can grasp that point. The Inspectors were there to insure compliance. I'll restrain myself from using the 'd' word this time
.

Again I waste my time talking to you. No one concluded there were no WMD – only that he “may” have destroyed them laugh.gif laugh.gif – or moved them.

And who cares today – this has SQUAT to do with the subject of this thread – as you know Dingo.

I've responded appropriately to your ridiculously request in the past, remember when you used to spam the board with sought after WMDs? The answer of course was he didn't have the records of destruction so in your world that provided cover for an invasion. Rational folks thought inspections should have continued.

Sorry once again 2+2 does not equal 3 no matter how many ways you want to spin it.

He might have stored them in a bunch of camels bellys too where they are cooling out in a cave.. laugh.gif

It's my thread and I haven't called you on your diversion so I wouldn't worry or deal with the issue by projecting running off the track on others. wacko.gif

They also concluded that there were no WMD found. In Dr. Blix's reports to the UN, I don't recall ever seeing where he speculated that WMD's were transported out of the country.

You seem to labor under the impression that any WMD's in Iraq in 1998 simply had to still exist in 2003/03, instead of being destroyed. I suppose if we were able to read the 8000 redacted pages from the 12000 page Weapons Declaration, we might have more of an idea. Simply put however, Iraq's weapons declaration was much more accurate than not, and we invaded a sovereign nation on a big 'whoopsie' at best, and naked aggression at worst.

He speculated on very little as you can imaging. Makes what he did say about WMD, which was a lot, worth reading.

I find the idea that the man whose strongest goal was to develop and own WMD and who never cooperated with the UN would have somehow just “destroyed” them in 1998 or any other time so ludicrous as to be not worth considering. IMO the only reason the Bush dopes went along with this silly idea is that the alternative – they were there and slipped away – is worse.

Needless to say the people on the ground like Ritter (before the payoff) don’t buy this line – you can read his testimony to Congress here - http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/...8/980907-in.htm

Indeed I have read Blix's UNMOVIC reports, especially the parts where he states that Iraq had been moderately to extremely helpful during the last round of inspections. Unlike where you state: and who never cooperated with the UN. Transparent rhetoric.

So you insist on ignoring the preponderance of evidence, that being that no WMD's were found, instead energetically focusing on the fantasy that they were spirited out of Iraq.....to somewhere.....based on not a hred of evidence?

And he made just as many statements asking for info he never receives – as you know. Ultimately he got nothing from them that satisfied him or the provisions of the resolutions.
I would have given him more time but ultimately he had no chance of ever “uncovering” Iraq’s WMD.

Fantasy? You have proof he destroyed them? That is the fantasy.

As they say the fact that we did not find anything does not mean nothing was there. And it has little relevance in any case if you considered him a long term threat since he intent was to replace any WMD given up as soon as sanctions were dropped.
