During the first hour, we discussed General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker's briefings to Congress on the Iraq war troop surge. We also talked about a recent federal court ruling regarding 'national security letters.' In addition to that, we covered the latest on Senator Craig and his withdrawal of his guilty plea stemming from charges over his alleged actions in a Minnesota airport restroom. We rounded out the first hour with coverage of the potential nominees to replace Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
