Back in September, someone posted Ted Bundy's final interview on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki9FhawqTyc...ted&search=In it, Dr. James Dobson uses Ted Bundy to explain to the public why violent pornography is bad for society.
Now, Ted Bundy has a habit of lying, and given the psychopathic character that he has, most likely faked his own tears.
Many people think that Bundy is merely using pornography as an excuse for his crimes. But Dr. Dobson does raise some interesting questions. If Ted Bundy grew up in a good home and had friends, what could possibly have caused his psychopathic personality to take on the form of rape and murder? There are many psychopaths in society, many of whom are either living normal lives or doing time in jail for lesser crimes like robbery. The majority of them don't become serial killers.
So, for debate,
Does violent hardcore pornography cause violent crimes? Is the Government doing enough to regulate pornography and keep the public from having access to the worst porn?Did you even bother watching the video you linked
skeeterses? Ted Bundy is not interviewed. Rather, James Dobson is interviewed and the thrust of that interview is justifying the Dobson's interview with Bundy. You really haven't given us enough information to answer your questions.
I must wonder what a "libertarian" is doing asking what the government should do about an emotional issues like pornography. My answer - whether the porn is "violent" or not - is nothing, other than keeping it out of the hands of kids.
BTW: The video linked here is 18-years-old. Why the interest now?
