Giants Win!

Beat the Packers in their backyard. (I was nauseous at the end of the game from stress...Stupid kickers)
So who you think

No way the evil genius that is Bill Belichick (a.k.a. Mr. Personallity) doesn't close the deal by taking out the G-Men with two weeks to gameplan for them. He's going to come up with blitzes and defensive schemes that will have Eli Manning crying for his mommy.
Patriots 38 - Giants 20

Although I am a New Yorker, and I hate all things New England - and my Mighty Pittsburgh Steelers were taken out - I think Pats 42 NYG 10.

I have to say that I wanted to see Farve get another shot. What a turnaround for the Packers this year! This game...I don't know, I really don't follow the NFL closely enough. Little brother Eli adding to the Manning dynasty is nice, but the Pats winning is truly something special. Should be fun to watch. Hope it's not a typical Super Bowl blowout either way.

NEW YORK GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Giants will finish the job they started back at the Meadowlands and dethrone the mighty Patriots. The prediction is 31 - 28 GIANTS. But i might be a little biased.

NEP 35, NYG 10 And call it the other bookend to the stories of a perfect season.
Oh, and
Leder, how long is it again until pitchers and catchers report? Since ConservPat doesn't seem to be with us at the moment [or maybe I'm mistaken], are you volunteering to be league commish? The Hammer [Revolving Door] of Thor is looking forward to this upcoming season [and we'll see if the Hammer/RevolvingDoor can improve on that league record 250+ moves made]. In the meantime, I'll be basking in the knowledge that the Hammer/RevolvingDoor went 2-1 against the LP. And shame on us if we lose again this year to a team called the Heffalumps. Since some have this fictional notion of that horde of ants taking down the elephant, maybe you and the rest should let me draft Adam Dunn and I'll rename the team and call my boys Adam & The Ants [and they'll take down those mighty Heffalumps]. Lastly, for monitoring the countdown:

My predictions: The ads will be more exciting than the game. Things will liven up a bit near the end, with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Final score - Giants 27, Patriots, 21.

Giants Defense was the best I can remember any team playing.
Miami is still the one and only.
Sweet.

Biggest Upset Ever? How does it rate against the infamous Jets/Colts Superbowl?
NY is Da Champs.

Not a football fan at all- another childs game played by grown men with bad manners IMHO- that being said- good game, killer upset, and Bellicheat has proven that he is even a lower class jerk than most thought- the way he ran off field in the end.
I was most upset that I was promised an Iron Man trailer and didn't get it1

That play where Manning somehow escaped a sure sack and hit Tyree down the middle is going to go down as one of the greatest Super Bowl plays ever. Great catch under pressure.

Y'know, I thought it was just me, but I did notice the way Bellijerk couldn't wait to get off the field. Guess when you COUGH-COUGH-HACK-GAG-COUGH up a Super Bowl the way they did all you want to do is go home, kick the dog and drink yourself into stupidity.
Gracious to the last. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Just think of all that "19-0" gear that's going to end up in a landfill somewhere. Breaks my heart.
Hey,
CruisingRam, I was waiting for an IRON MAN commercial too. Here it is:

As someone who grew up in Brooklyn, is a Cowboys fan, but still likes to see NY do good...NICE! My main thing was to see a quality Superbowl game after the snoozefest of last year, and I got it and then some. It sure will be great to see all of NY and NJ on fire these next couple of days (figuratively, I hope)! Oh and by the way.... LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this time of severe sorrow, deep disappointment and agonizing angst that is being suffered by every New England Patriots fan across this great nation of ours I would like to offer from the bottom of my heart these sincere sentiments:
CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER!!! CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER!!! NYAH-NYAH-NYAH!!!Can we now start calling him Bill Belicheat or Bill Belichoke?

I saw an Ironman commercial, I think it was in the second quarter. After some heavy drinking all I can remember him shooting a missle turning around a taking a few steps and the seeing the explosion a few seconds later. It looked really good from what I recalled.
I think every non-Patriots NFL fan were cheering for the Giants last night. The talk about cheating, even prior to this year and the way they ran up the score on outmatched opponents was disrespectful. Even if they did have a perfect record I doubt that they would have recieved the respect one would expect.

So my son is 8. He'll be 9 in May. He, like a lot of kids since the invention of EA Sports, has picked his favorite teams not by location but by their ranking in Madden Football

This year is the first year he's really paid attention to a season of football. His favorite team? The Pats. Now, I have a hard time talking him out of this. When I was his age the Jets and Giants sucked. I watched an NFL Film (with Steve Sobol narrating) about the Mighty Pittsburgh Steelers and was instantly hooked.
Poor kid looks at me last night, tears welling in his eyes, "I don't get it! How do you lose THIS game? Of all the games they could lose when they are 18-1 they lose THIS ONE????"
And so I took him up to his room and got him in all tucked in and told him the most horrible story of all... being a New York Ranger fan... God I hope he can sleep again

I thought the Giants should have run a play and run for a touchdown while the Patriots failed to return to the field. That would have been Belichick-ish.
Billy B is a good coach, but he is a jerk. Going for it on 4th and 13? In the Super Bowl? When in field goal range? Sheesh. Talk about hubris.
I was happy that the Pats lost. Couldn't have happened to a bigger bunch of jerks.
