Here is a story
More Hitting Cost Limit on Health BenefitsAs medical costs continue to rise, the lifetime limits on many healthcare programs are beginning to be met by a small but growing number of Americans.
Given that health insurance costs are already rising past affordability:
Should the be a change in these policies to change or raise the lifetime limits policies? What impact would this likely have on health care costs? Is this a reason to advocate a more socialized healthcare system? Is it evidence to that the private healthcare system is working?I don't think anyone agrees that the current health care system works. It is much like the current tax system. We all agree on the point that something has to change. That change is what so many of us disagree with. I am absolutely against socialized heathcare. That is a given. I also know that there has to be a better way. I have begun to wonder what changes we would see in the price of insurance if insurance companies had to be non-profit. I have not done any research or come to any conclusions, but just a thought. If insurance companies were non-profit, couldn't that reduce prices? Just brainstorming here, folks!
