Report: New Usama bin Laden Tape Slams Palestinian Negotiations, Urges Holy War for Liberation of Palestine.

QUOTE
CAIRO, Egypt — Pan-Arab Al-Jazeera TV broadcasts what it describes as a new audio tape by Usama bin Laden in which the Al Qaeda leader slams Palestinian negotiations and urges holy war for liberation of Palestine.

With the threat of a Democrat President who will most likely not follow Bush's Doctrine and also begin withdrawal of troops from Iraq is Bin Laden worried he may lose his greatest recruitment tool which some Bush opponents claim have been the aggressive actions and attitudes of the Bush Administration?

Would the danger of tensions escalating in Israel itself, be a boon to the GOP come election time?

Is this a danger for the Democrat chances in November if Osama was able to actually cause a noticeable uptick in the ongoing crisis state that is Israeli/Palestinian relations?

Could Democrats achieve credibility here in the States as the ones best suited for dealing with such a crisis?

Well, I have to wonder- how stupid are American voters this cycle? How engaged are they? Remember- there were morons that actually bought the swift water liars' story! Very important NOT to underestimate the moronic behavior of those that buy into fear mongering!

Yes, GW has been a gawdsend (pardon the sarcasm) rolleyes.gif - to Osama- there has been no greater boon to Al-Quaida, no greater friend in the world, than GW. He is a walking recruitment poster, no doubt- I don't know if McCain is that stupid though. thumbsup.gif

See above.

Is this a danger for the Democrat chances in November if Osama was able to actually cause a noticeable uptick in the ongoing crisis state that is Israeli/Palestinian relations?

I have worried about this for some time- the "wag the dog" tactic has worked well for the GOP, and fearmongering is really the only thing they got- once again, it depends on how moronic the American voter is this cycle.

Could Democrats achieve credibility here in the States as the ones best suited for dealing with such a crisis?

Hard to say- we do have the new nickname "McSame" going on for McCain- and, fair or not, it does speak volumes as to how our society is reacting to the incompetence of GW.

[I]s Bin Laden worried he may lose his greatest recruitment tool which some Bush opponents claim have been the aggressive actions and attitudes of the Bush Administration?
I don't know and as always, I don't particularly care what he thinks.

Would the danger of tensions escalating in Israel itself be a boon to the GOP come election time?
Not by itself. The Israeli lobby needs to be a campaign player to affect the national dialogue while we obsess over the electoral outcome.

Is this a danger for the Democrat chances in November if Osama was able to actually cause a noticeable uptick in the ongoing crisis state that is Israeli/Palestinian relations?
Not by itself. The GOP would need to rev their spinsters and somehow tie an uptick in violence to the election without unequivocally stating that a Democratic president would result in more attacks. I don't know how well this will PR tactic work considering the total number of attacks across the world have increased since invading Iraq, bumping the average, and despite discovering an AQ presence in Palestine two years ago suicide attacks inside Israel have conversely decreased in recent years.

Could Democrats achieve credibility here in the States as the ones best suited for dealing with such a crisis?
In terms of the GWoT yes. In terms of the Israeli-Palestinian situation no. The GOP will do worse in the GWoT and no better in the context of Jews and Palestinians. The GOP can just appear to do better making tough declarations. There are no honest actors to deal with here, just two parties playing a stalling tactic while they maneuver international opinion for their ends.
