I choose to nominate this thread: Liberalism for both the Best Topic in History Debate and as the most underappreciated topic in 07-08. 
Since lederuvdapac opened the door by nominating one of his own threads, no need for me to be unduly humble.
I'll nominate Thomas Jefferson: A Visonary or a Racist by nighttimer. (and inspired by quick).
Just to make it clear, while I have withdrawn my name from any individual awards, I'm not similarly disinclined toward recognizing a given thread.
In every successful thread it's the quality of the debate that matters and not the individuals engaged in it.
