Wertz is good- and I loved the heavywieght battle between NT and Wertz- two of my personal faves- it is time to pass the torch my brutha.

I nominate Ledervepac! thumbsup.gif

( It was a coin toss between Leder and TedN5, but TedN5 is already nominated)
TedN5
All judgments like this are subjective. The criteria I used included internal consistency of arguments, knowledge of the subject matter, content of linked supporting material, and how much the argument affected my own thinking. I nominate Dontreadonme primarily for his posts on "The Surge in Bagdad" but also for other war related links.
JohnfrmCleveland
I'd like to nominate Quarkhead.
Julian
This year I thik I would like to nominate Wertz

You're splitting the LP vote, DTOM...I'm a spoiler, syphoning votes from Leder. laugh.gif

Gotta go with Hobbes.

Lots of choices, but I think I'll nominate based on methods rather than matching politics. Trouble seems to be one member that has different views than I do on many issues yet he makes sensible arguments, and doesn't hesitate to challenge those who share his politics if they say something that is inaccurate. So I'll nominate him. Mrs. Pigpen also comes to mind, recently I've seen her make some really intelligent post, yet her and I disagree on many issues.

Mrs P.

Many are called, but Lesly should be chosen.

Time to make some herstory on the board and Lesley gets the nod from me via the old-fashioned way: she earned it. thumbsup.gif

There is no member that even comes close to Wertz, but since he's been nominated so many times already, I will nominate another very talented and persuasive contributor to debate - MOIF.
turnea
I think drewyorktimes ought to be in the running this year as he's always artful and devastating at the same time.

Form and function. biggrin.gif

MOIF!!!!!
Just Leave me Alone!
Lot of good ones to choose from but I'm going with AMlord. For as often as he posts, people rarely engage him. I can see only two reasons for that. Either his posts are inane and no one sees the point in reading/replying, or his posts are so well put together that no one can challenge him. I'm thinking the second one.
Victoria Silverwolf
Too many choices. Let's go with Julian this time around.

Yeah, I wanted to nominate DTOM also, but I had already put in my vote for Quarkhead, and we are limited to one.

And here's why I think DTOM deserves a nomination: with his background, all he would have to do to be the most powerful voice in the Iraq threads is say, "I've seen it, you haven't," but he goes way beyond that. He still does the research and the thinking. I trust his analysis of Iraq more than anyone I've read or seen on TV. It's like "having a friend in the business."
