Unfortunately, I think Santasdad is correct. Having been involved with literally hundreds of debates with creationists over the years, this is hardly something unusual. Creationism is a matter of religious fanaticism shrouded in a thin skin of pseudo-scientific nonsense. A creationist doesn't care about the evidence, they don't care if they have to lie, cheat, misrepresent science, misquote scientists... whatever they have to do to "convince" their opponents, or more probably the members of the audience that creationism is even possible, they'll do it gladly, they think they're doing God's work. Apparently, God doesn't mind if they're dishonest. Professional creationists have been caught lying red-handed so many times and then turn around and keep repeating the same old, tired lie again and again that it's obvious they're reading from an immutable script and couldn't care less how many times it's proven wrong.

The creation/evolution debate is really pointless as creationists aren't interested in truth, only their narrow sectarian beliefs and pushing them on a world that has found them to be utterly false.
