These folks knew the hurricane was coming. If they didn't leave, too bad for them.

Shepard Smith just said, and I'm paraphrasing here, that "communications are not dependable in a Hurricane because the satellites get blown all over the place."

Could someone please tell him that satellites are in space, and that hurricanes do not extend to space?
