Islam, by and large, is a militant religion. It was born during a tremendous time of conflict and strife when the fate of the Medieval world was being decided. The Prophet would go up into some mountains and write what he thought was poetry,at one point he thinks he is possesed by a gin, he later claims to be inspiried by Gaberial.

It is a mistake to underestimate the militant element in Islam. This did not come about over night. They have been taught that the West (Occidentals) are all bloody crusaders. Everytime a Palastinian kid dies they see the dark spector of a Zionist conspiricy that the U.S. is activley involved in. The following is from Foreign Affairs Jan/Feb 2002, its published by the Council on Foreign Relations.

" The fanatics of al Qaeda see the world in black and white and advance a particularly narrow view of Islam. This makes them a tiny minority among Muslims. But the basic catrgories of their thought flow directly from the mainstream of the Salafiyya a perspective that has enjoyed a wide hearing over the last 50 years"

He offers a quote from, "Sayyid Qutb, the most important Salafi thinker of the last half century and a popular author in the Muslim world even today, nearly 40 years after his death"...

"All of these opinions overlook one vital element in the question...the Crusader spirit that runs in the blood of all Occidentals. It is this that colors all their thinking, which is responsible for their imperialistic fear of the spirit of Islam and for their efforts to crush the strength of Islam. For the instincts and the interests of all Occidentals are bound up together in the crushing of that strength. "

He goes on to describe this conspiricy between Russia, America, and Zionists in simular terms. Just as in the Koran there is the common theme of ranting about the Jews, they are still the hated enemies of Islam.

I wasn't aware that it (whatever 'it' is) ran in my blood, colors all my thinking, is responsable for all my imperialistic fear, and was an effort to crush the strength of Islam? Did you know that about yourself cause its big news to me.

This is where the extremists in these Islamic blood cults are getting their venom. Not just extremist militants but Islamic leaders and clerics. Where is this religion of peace Bush is talking about?
