I usually make my first visit on the basis of most recent postings by others.

Ditto DP. When the forum was smaller, I had new posts in subscribed topics emailed to me. I had to stop that once the forum grew. Now I just come in and work my way down.

Heh. Me too.

I still manage to read 98% of the posts made here, but as we get more popular I know that will get harder. That makes me a bit sad. As much as I enjoy seeing an increase in posts, I really enjoy being able to read nearly everything right now. We have a lot of articulate debaters here. smile.gif

In contrast to road rules sensibilities, I stop at the green light topics. Whatever topics have had the most recent posts from viewing the front Forum page get my attention first. After that it's pretty much a free for all, though there are admittedly certain topics that get priority once the green lights have passed. biggrin.gif

Like my young American friend, I also go straight to 'New posts' and see what has been happening since my last log in.

I usually start at the top and go down, because when I'm on, I usually post in a fiar amount of places. This leaves me with a lot of areas to check for responses.
Victoria Silverwolf
I usually concentrate on "Casual Conversation" because I am not a very political person.

(Then why am I here? Because I was invited here, and I like the people.)

Otherwise, I go with new replies, like the majority. I also look to the Religion, Science, and Gender Issues sections, which are interests of mine, and tend to avoid the party politics and war sections.
