During the mid 80's I lived in houston with my mother. When we were there we went to an art show featuring a Chinese optometrist who used x-ray chemicals and paint to create his works. There was one inparticular that is burned in my mind to this very day but I cannot for the life of me remember his name.

The title of the painting is 'To Run'

The background is a firery orange with midnight blue outlines of what appears to be a horse running.

It is very abstract and some people cannot make out the horse.

If any of you know what I am talking about or know the artist it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Oh boy. Good luck with this one! cool.gif

I scoured images.google.com, regular google, the usenet archives, all with no hint of a Chinese optometrist using xray chemicals to paint blue and orange horses.

Sorry... sad.gif

I'm with Mike on this one. I have spent the last hour looking (should I admit that? blush.gif )

I'm really sorry, too, because I want to see this art.

Congratulations! I had been doing some research, alas, to no avail, but it seems that you have accomplished it. Kudos to you on that one! What was the artists name? I had found what seemed like a painting with the chemicals you desscribed by a chinese artist named "Lin Feng-mian," not sure if that was the person.

His name is Dominic Man-Kit Lam. If you check the link above there are some more of his painting listed there.

Thanks Again
