John is many things....blunt, colorful, compulsive, passionate, but racist, no. I have spent months getting to know him in our internet communtity. Sure, he sometimes gets out of line, but many are guilty of that. That doesn't make him a racist. I've seen that term racist thrown around loosely over the last several months. It's a generic term for someone who holds different views than you do. Don't get me wrong, I have seen pure racism on my site. John, however, does not fall into this category.

I must object, scully. We would not have made this decision rashly. John has promoted the genocide of an entire religion. I find that to be beyond racist. His rhetoric was dangerous. Whether or not he believed it, the fact that he would promote such things, possibly just to incite people, is unacceptable in this forum.

Additionally, he made many personal attacks on members instead of debating opinions. That is also not acceptable here. This forum is to debate ideas. This is not kintergarten; we don't call people "stupid" or "insane" here.

Finally, please recognize we did not kick John out after the first offense. He made MANY and received many warnings before we had to arrive at this decision. We offered to give him a 48 hour suspension but he requested, or rather, dared us to permanently ban him, while being profane with Mike. Thus, his current status as "banned".
