I'm thinking of writing a biography of Bob Marley illustrated with my original photography of Jamaica that I will get in a research trip. Hopefully I can weasel some school credit out of it to as well as use it to improve college resume. I'm starting research/planning now and I hope to be finished in a year and a half. If anyone has any suggestions, knows any biographies (other than Catch a Fire by some stoned Rolling Stone editor) or has a reason I will certainly fail in writing this it would be appreciated.

This could be a fun project if you plan early and get things all set up before you go. I would suggest you start by contacting someone at the Bob Marley Foundation/Museum. I'm sure they would be happy to give you some pointers. Who knows, they may have some programs going on during the time you are planning on being there that could work out well for you.
