Huh? What do you mean by 'choking'?

And PLEASE try and use proper capitalization and punctation, it makes it much easier to read your posts.

I'm not surprised by his announcement to run at all. I *am* surprised that he did it on the Tonight Show (NBC probably HATES the fact that we are not in a sweeps period).

Arnold has admittedly smoked marijuana, used steriods, cheated on his wife and is the son of a Nazi. If he were a declared Democrat, the Republicans would crucify him. Is his good humor enough to win this election?

Did you watch the Katie Couric interview too?

Clinton admitted he smoked(but not inhaled) marijuana and he went two terms.

Most body builders used steriods when he was doing it.

Clinton cheated on his wife and most of america didn't care, just that he lied about it under oath.

His father was a nazi member, he was from austria was he not? His father was not found to have committed any war crimes.

A better question would be to ask, Is there any opposition strong enough to make him lose?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I did. that's why I posed the question. Your response was exactly the point I was making.

I think the mere fact that he threw his hat in the ring will guarantee that there will be strong enough opposition to make him lose. The D's are finally going to pay attention.

I'm not a huge fan of Gray Davis. But, I find it amazing that just because some guy didn't like the outcome of the last election that he can buy another one. There are no guarantees that anyone else can turn anything around unless they start growing money. But, I guess that belongs in the marijuana debate.

Why is it that our media is ignoring Gary Coleman's bid. While giving Schwarz plenty of attention? Is this racism? heightism? or something else?

Coleman has a serious mean streak:
Gary Coleman Sentenced for Fan Abuse
Who could survive with that kind of baggage?

By the way, this article is from yesterday: Gary Coleman for California governor
QUOTE
Coleman is quoted as saying “I am probably the most unqualified person to run for governor, but I’m willing to do it as a goof if you are.”

I've got to remember the smileys. The problem I have with the operation of this recall election is that someone could win the election with a very small percentage of the vote. You would think they would at least have a runoff procedure.

Definitely an oversight about the run-off issue. Top three candidates should run-off 1 month later.

Who could have predicted that there would be 500 candidates on the ballot?

You know, if voters can't find "Schwarzenegger" in the middle of that long, goofy alphabet list, Gray Davis might still have a chance! shifty.gif
