How would you predict this race?
It'd be close, but I think it would still go to Clinton. Remember, before September 11, 2001, Giuliani had become almost universally loathed in New York City (and he never had that much appeal state-wide). Plus, the Clintons came off about as well as he did in the immediate aftermath. Since then, Hillary Clinton's appeal has only broadened, while Rudy Giuliani's has been back in a pretty steady decline. To win, he would also have to seriously distance himself from the RNC (or at least the Bush administration), which has become ridiculously unpopular in New York - but without their cash, I don't think he could do it.

What impact on her presidential aspirations?
Assuming she has presidential aspirations

, I'd say, if she wins, it would make her a major contender in 2008; if she were to lose, it would have little impact on the aspirations, but would make winning a Democratic primary a bit more difficult.

Might this force her to try a run for Pres now, before she gets hammered by Rudy?
I seriously doubt it.
