I saw all this comic talk and I wanted to join in. Only problem was that I couldn't really think of any I
really liked, but I could think of a whole bunch that I hated...
My list:
- Ziggy
- Marmaduke
- Peanuts
- Love is...
That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there's more.
Yours?

That's easy...
Garfield
B.C. (I don't read comics to get a sermon)
Marmaduke
Judge Parker
Hagar the Horrible
Blondie
Peanuts

Zippy the Pinhead - pretentiously trendy intellectual and only rarely funny

I hate all the ongoing drama comics....does anyone actually read them?
I also hate Family Circus - good natured, god fearing drivel for squares.
Mallard Fillmore - right wing nonsense
Gasoline Alley - boooooooooooooring
I'm sure there are some more....I'll come back to this when they come to mind...

Mallard Fillmore: satisfying to liberal-haters, no doubt, but not actually funny.
Robotman/Monty, Get Fuzzy, Adam: endlessly repetitive and they weren't all that funny the first time.
Sylvia: I admit that there are occasional good ones, but the repetition of gender stereotypes spoils the rare humor - plus the drawing sucks.

There's a whole sub-genre of comic strips in the British press that focus on the "dramas" within premiership football clubs. That's to say, they're like straight-faced soaps set in the upper levels of English soccer. And for some peculiar reason, a few of them seem to think that badly rendered computer graphics make for a more interesting strip that good old dip-and-scratch drawings.
"Striker" is one example that springs to mind.
They're all utter tosh - they aren't even supposed to be funny, but they manage to be deathly dull as well. This has nothing to do with football itself - the strips are just really dire.

I hate Get Fuzzy, Liberty Meadows and Zippy. Since they got rid of Brenda Starr I don't pay any attention to the "soap" comics.

Andy Capp needs to be drawn and quartered. Ditto the Lockhorns.

Get Fuzzy
It is
DREADFULLY UNFUNNY.
I tend to just ignore the dramatic serials.
