I want to express my outrage at the "Big 4" networks (CBS, ABC, Fox, and NBC) for their intentions to NOT broadcast the President's speech tonight.

These networks apparantly feel Major League Baseball, Monday Night Football and t.v shows are more important to the American people than our own national policy.

SHAME on those networks for their encouragement of ignorance. mad.gif

I'll second that outrage.

Here we have a bunch of networks that say the President hasn't made the case for military action in Iraq, and when he plans on addressing their concerns, they don't cover it.

I have emailed each network that plans on blocking the speech and am yet to receive a response. I was not able to email ABC, as they do not have any functioning email addresses listed on their websites.

This is a joke.

I agree, but you know, it's PACKER night. What was he thinkin? ohmy.gif

PACKER night?!? Nah, it's BEARS night!

Bush is speaking before the football game, so I partially erred in my original post. However, I still have not read/heard that the free networks will be airing President Bush's speech.

Unless the Vikings (I'm going to need help figuring out how to use the colors on your site) are playing, the President should be on the major networks. I know the Vikes are terrible this year, but I'm not a fairweather fan!

now, back on subject.

They did! Good move for Fox.

Britt Hume made comments on this subject last night. It was discussed on the panel. I doubt Mike saw it since he said he doesn't watch this particular program. I guess Fox called the major networks and asked the why. The responses were pretty funny...some more valid than others. Wish I could remember them all, but one was something like...It was just a speech to a local community. Nothing new. etc.
