I'd keep the music and ditch the government.

Well, Shelleyfanatic stole one of mine: The Dark Side of the Moon, by Pink Floyd, so I'll choose another three.

THRILLER ( The GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME cool.gif ) By: THE KING OF POP! wub.gif

Pretty Hate Machine By: Nine Inch Nails

Achtung Baby By: U2

PS... I agree with Jaime, I would revolt or become Canadian! biggrin.gif

Led Zeppelin Runes (aka Led Zeppelin IV)

The Beatles Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Jethro Tull Thick as a Brick
nileriver
nin, diesel boy, radiohead, and some others too biggrin.gif

did i use "too" right there,

is that last fragment any good either???
Mike
I'd choose whichever album that could be most easily converted into a weapon. cool.gif

No really I'd probably go with Pink Floyd DSOTM, Buddy Guy Buddy's Baddest, and the Grateful Dead Workingman's Dead.

Mike
Eeyore
Since Mike forgot to save it

Roger Waters--Amused to Death
Tori Amos--Boys from Pele ( I think that's the title, it's late and my mind is muddled)
Jayhawks um, I can't pick one, um, Sound of Lies, no Smile, no Hollywood Town Hall, er, ok Sound of Lies.

I don't like this government!

We've had a similar conceit on the radio here for 30 years or more - Desert Island Discs. You get to pick your 8 favourite records that you'd take with you to a desert island, along with one book (except the Bible, which you get to take anyway).

I find it interesting that your idea requires a hostile government, rather than a shipwreck. whistling.gif

Anyway, in answer to the question:
1. Zero 7 - Simple Things
2. Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always
3. The Secret Policemen's Ball

Enough there to cover all conceivable moods, from black anger, to laughter, to gentle melancholy, and back again.
Cyan
Julian, that's my favourite Sisters of Mercy disc. biggrin.gif
