What a sad day for Hollywood, the USO and America. He was my mom's favorite comedian and I was raised watching the old road shows. His timing and quick wit is unmatched. He was the best Hollywood funnyman and he will be sorely missed.

R.I.P. BOB

I got to see him when he came to the gulf in late 1990. I didn't realize it at the time that I was fortunate enough to witness such an enduring legacy to this country and it's armed forces. He will be missed.

The man was immensely talented and willingly shared his talent with troops who desperately needed some laughs and reminders of how great our homeland is, and that the people back home loved them.
