The North Korean regime may be committing human rights abuses on a different level than an American or even an Iraqi could imagine. What approach should the U.S. use in dealing with North Korea's human rights abuses?
Here are a few articles about North Korea's human right's abuses

I've asked myself a number times:
Should the US take care of the situation in NK? no
Should someone take care of the situation in NK? yes
I'd like to see the UN do something more than impose sanctions on a country like this which only makes matters worse in most cases. However, if the UN wanted to take military action, where's the first place they will be knocking on the door for help? The US. It is my opinion that it is inevitable that the US will have to step in to help out with NK's human rights issues. I can't think of a whole lot of nations that have gone from a cruel military dictatorship to a peaceful nation without the intervention of an outside country.
Diplomacy has failed miserably in cases like these for the most part unfortunately.

Let the UN deal with a human rights issue? Look at their human rights commission and see how effective they will be with China, Libya and Sudan on board.
Take care
